Angry Birds Activity Park

Since its inception in 2009, the Angry Birds game has garnered 2.5 billion downloads globally. Angry Birds is now coming to life at the Angry Birds Activity Park Johor Bahru. It is Southeast Asia’s first Angry Birds theme park.

The indoor park is strategically located on the third floor of the new Komtar Johor Bahru City Centre (JBCC).

The activity park offers a wide variety of fun games and attractions suitable for visitors of all ages. The key idea behind the parks is that there are activities for everyone - tots, teens and adults.

The first area near the entrance was an activity area for young kids. There was the Red Bird Sona that would give the kids simple maths questions and they had to run to the correct answer. It is definitely more fun than doing it on a PC or tablet. There was also Captain Black Bird’s ship which offers a mini playground for toddlers.

The park also has other attractions for a bit older kids and adults such as Angry Bird Johor Slides, Angry Bird Johor Cinema, Balance Bike Lagoon, Birds Nest Climbing Track, GO! Kart, Space Drop Airbag, Red Bird Goal, The Giant Leap Foam Pit, Air Parkour Track, Anti-gravity Trampolines, The Spinning Time Machine, The Lazer Bird Scoot, Angry Bird Skating, Angry Birds Space, The Laser Maze Spaceship and Piggy Shooting Gallery.

There is an Angry Birds Souvenir Shop at the entrance of the park for visitors who wish to buy Angry Bird merchandise and an Angry Birds Cafe for visitors who wish to replenish themselves.

Hear From Others

When we arrived at the park in KOMTAR JBCC, we were greeted with a picturesque setup of Red and a Sling Shot! It was hard to walk past without posing for an Instagram-worthy picture. At the entrance, the children were mesmerised by the Angry Birds cartoon showing on a flat-screen TV. It is the best marketing tool to get people into the park for sure!

I would like to also add that I really like the opening dance (teringat zaman clubbing dulu #eh), kudos to the team for choreographing the dance, it certainly builds up the mood and momentum for us to enjoy the activities inside.

In general, our visit to the activity park was pleasant and relaxing as we were able to enjoy the facilities without having to wait. The children went for multiple rides and roamed around the park at ease. It was pretty exhausting at the end of the day as we ran, peddled, hopped and jumped a lot within the arena. For our family, it was a great workout in a short span of time.
